Homepride Roast Chicken Cook-In Sauce can be used to make a great chicken pie. Simply pour the sauce into a dish with 350g of roast chicken. Cover with puff pastry and bake until golden brown.

Serves 4

What you need

  • Jar Homepride Roast Chicken Cook-In Sauce
  • 350g cooked chicken (left over roast is ideal)
  • 1 sheet ready rolled puff pastry
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ovenproof pie dish, lightly greased

How to make it

  1. Shred the chicken and place in a pie dish.
  2. Cover with Homepride Roast Chicken Sauce and mix well
  3. Place the puff pastry sheet over the pie and trim if necessary and lightly brush with the egg.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes (or as pastry instructs) until pastry is golden brown.

Hints and tips

  • Add some cooked broccoli and sweetcorn to the base to produce a fantastic chicken and vegetable pie.
  • Serve with creamy mashed potato and seasonal vegetables.
