Carbonara Pasta Bake

I made this

Try adding dried pasta and sliced mushrooms to Homepride Cheese and Bacon Pasta Bake and finish off with some grated parmesan for a carbonara taste.

Serves 4

What you need:

  • 200g dried pasta
  • 100g sliced mushrooms, washed and sliced
  • Jar Homepride Cheese and Bacon Pasta Bake.
  • 50g grated parmesan
  • ovenproof dish , lightly greased

via Asda, Sainsbury's,
Tesco and Ocado

How to make it:

  1. Place dried pasta and mushrooms in an ovenproof dish and cover with 1 jar sauce and 2/3rds jar of water (as instructed on pack).
  2. Bake for 25 minutes at 200ºC/ Gas Mark 6.
  3. Remove from the oven, stir and then cover with grated parmesan.
  4. Bake for a further 20 minutes.

Hints and tips:

  • Add some ready prepared crispy bacon pieces with the cheese for a different topping idea.
  • Try layering 4 rashers of bacon on top of the pasta bake for the last 20 minutes of cooking for an extra crispy topping.

  • This is great. Try it by putting a layer of jam in the pastry case then a layer of puried sweetened apple or tinned apple topped by the custard recipe. Serve hot or cold.
