Tomato & Wild Mushroom Toast

I made this

For a simple snack, spread Loyd Grossman Tomato & Wild Mushroom Sauce on toast, top with cheese and grill.

Serves 2

What you need:

  • 1 Jar Loyd Grossman Tomato & Wild Mushroom sauce
  • 4 thick slices granary bread
  • 75g grated mature cheddar cheese
  • 75g grated parmesan cheese
  • handful of flat leaf parsley, chopped

via Asda, Sainsbury's,
Tesco and Ocado

How to make it:

  1. Place 4 slices of granary bread under the grill and lightly brown on both sides.
  2. Remove from the heat and spread a thin coating of the sauce over one side of the bread.
  3. Top with a mixture of both cheeses, return under the grill until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  4. Finish with a little chopped flat leaf parsley and serve.

Hints and tips:

  • For variation try using a selection of cheeses such as gruyere or a smoked cheese.
  • Slice a french stick into rounds and make the toasts into smaller portions for a great little canapé idea.
