Lemon Slices Trifle

I made this

For deliciously zingy sponge base when making trifle just cut Mr Kipling Lemon Slices into cubes then pour over some jelly, leave to set then cover with a layer of custard and decorate with a swirl of cream.

Serves 4

What you need:

  • Mr Kipling Lemon Slices
  • Jelly, any flavour
  • custard
  • whipped cream
  • strawberries to decorate, sliced
  • 4 glass bowls

via Asda, Sainsbury's,
Tesco and Ocado

How to make it:

  1. Cut Mr Kipling Lemon Slices into cubes and place into bowls.
  2. Prepare some jelly as instructed on the pack, pour over the sponge and allow to set in the fridge for about an hour.
  3. Cover the trifles with a generous portion of custard.
  4. To decorate add a swirl of whipped cream and a slice of strawberry.

Hints and tips:

  • Use a lime jelly and some fresh pineapple for a Zingy tropical trifle. Add a layer of pineapple once the jelly has set as pineapples can prevent the jelly from setting.
