For mouth-watering sausages, crumble a Beef Oxo Cube with honey and mustard, then drizzle over cooked sausages before baking in the oven for 25- 30 minutes.

Serves 4

What you need

  • 8 good quality sausages
  • 1 Oxo Beef Cube
  • 2 teaspoons wholegrain mustard
  • honey
  • ovenproof dish

How to make it

  1. Place the sausages into a greased oven proof dish and bake in a preheated oven 190º C/ Gas mark 5 for 20-25 mins until they are cooked through and starting to brown.
  2. Meanwhile, crumble an Oxo Beef cube into the mustard and mix in enough honey to make the mixture runny.
  3. Drizzle or brush the Oxo mixture over the cooked sausages and return them to the oven for another 10 minutes until they are golden.

Hints and tips

  • This recipe makes a tasty family meal if you cook the sausages on a bed of vegetables such as peppers, courgettes and onions and serve with creamy mashed potatoes.
  • For a vegetarian recipe use Quorn sausages and an Oxo Vegetable cube and reduce the cooking time to 15 minutes.

Tasty Moroccan Cous Cous

For a tasty Moroccan style cous cous just gently heat a crumbled Oxo vegetable cube, the zest of one lemon and a tablespoon of oil in a saucepan. Add a cup of cous cous and half a cup of boiling water, bring to the boil. To finish off add a handful of sultanas and leave to stand for 7 minutes before serving.
