Crusty Roast Beef

To create a delicious crust on roast beef, blend a Beef Oxo Cube with mustard and rub over your joint before roasting.
Serves 4
What you need
- 2kg beef roasting joint
- 1 Oxo Beef cube
- 2 teaspoons wholegrain mustard
How to make it
- Crumble an Oxo Beef cube into the mustard and mix together well.
- Rub the Oxo mixture all over the surface of your beef joint. Cover loosely with foil and roast for the time and temperature specified on the pack.
- Remove foil and return to the oven for another 20 minutes so that the crust goes brown and crispy.
- Rest the joint for 10 mins before carving.
Hints and tips
- Serve Crusty Roast Beef with roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, seasonal vegetables and a rich red wine gravy.
- If you have any beef left over serve cold in a crusty roll with horseradish sauce for a tasty lunch box idea.
