For a lovely crispy roast, crumble an Oxo Chicken Cube over the top of a whole chicken before roasting.

Serves 4

What you need

  • 1 medium chicken
  • vegetable oil
  • 1 Oxo Chicken Cube
  • roasting tin

How to make it

  1. Place a whole chicken in a roasting tin and drizzle with a little oil making sure the skin is all coated.
  2. Crumble an Oxo Chicken Cube evenly over the chicken skin.
  3. Cook the chicken as directed on the pack instructions.

Hints and tips

  • Serve delicious Crispy Roast Chicken with garlic mash, roasted root vegetables and a rich chicken gravy.
  • This recipe works really well with Christmas turkey too, and for a 5kg turkey you will probably need 3 Oxo cubes.

Tasty Moroccan Cous Cous

For a tasty Moroccan style cous cous just gently heat a crumbled Oxo vegetable cube, the zest of one lemon and a tablespoon of oil in a saucepan. Add a cup of cous cous and half a cup of boiling water, bring to the boil. To finish off add a handful of sultanas and leave to stand for 7 minutes before serving.
