How-to Video

For fantastic caramelised onions, fry onions until soft then add Sharwood’s Mango Chutney & fry until golden. Great in burgers and sandwiches.

Serves 4

What you need

  • 1 large onion
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 heaped tablespoon of Sharwood’s Green Label Mango Chutney
  • 4 beef burgers
  • non-stick pan

How to make it

  1. Slice the onions thinly
  2. Drizzle some oil into a hot pan and gently fry the onions until they are soft and as the colour turns light brown, stir in a large tablespoon of Mango Chutney.
  3. Continue to cook until the onions become caramelised.
  4. Serve on top of your cooked burgers in a warmed burger bun.

Hints and tips

  • This is a tasty relish to serve at a barbecue.
  • The relish is also delicious served with sausages, chicken breast or even served cold on a cheese sandwich.
