Add Sharwood’s black bean sauce to Sharwood’s noodles for a great tasting Chow Mein dish.

Serves 2

What you need

  • 2-3 blocks Sharwood’s Medium Egg Noodles
  • 1 tablespoon oil for frying
  • 2 chicken breasts sliced into thin strips
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 carrots, sliced into matchsticks
  • 100g beansprouts
  • 3 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ? teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • wok or deep-sided frying pan

How to make it

  1. Cook the noodles as directed on the pack, rinse and drain well.
  2. Heat the oil in a wok or deep-sided frying pan add the chicken and Stir-fry for 4 minutes until sealed.
  3. Add the garlic, onion and carrots the cook for a further 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the beansprouts, soy sauce, sugar, salt, sesame oil and noodles then stir-fry for a few minutes until heated through. Serve immediately.

Hints and tips

  • For a change try using stir-fry beef strips or raw tiger prawns and follow the pack instructions for cooking guidelines.
  • To make a vegetarian version of this recipe try using Quorn Chicken style Pieces.
