Smother meaty pork ribs with Sharwood’s Hoi-sin and 5 Spice sauce, cover with foil and bake in the oven.

Serves 2

What you need

  • 12 small or 6 large pork spare ribs
  • Bottle of 195g Sharwood’s Hoi-Sin Sauce

How to make it

  1. Preheat the oven to 190ºC/ Gas mark 5.
  2. Separate the ribs and coat in sauce, wrap in foil and place on a baking sheet then bake in the oven for 1 hour.
  3. After 1 hour remove the ribs from the oven and turn the oven up to 200ºC/ Gas mark 6.
  4. Open the foil and baste the ribs with the Hoi-Sin Sauce, leave the foil open and return to the oven for a further 15-20 minutes. When cooked, the ribs should have a sticky well-coated appearance.

Hints and tips

  • Sprinkle over some finely chopped spring onions and serve as a snack or a tasty oriental starter.
