Strawberry Shortbread Sundae

Strawberries and shortbread are a great combination for a summer dessert so try placing some crushed shortbread fingers in the bottom of 4 wine glasses then place sliced strawberries on top of the biscuits upright around the glass. Next make up some Strawberry Angel Delight then carefully pour into the glasses and chill in the fridge for at least 10 minutes. Finally decorate with a whole strawberry and chocolate sprinkles if desired.
Serves 4
What you need
- 4 shortbread fingers, crushed
- 200g strawberries, washed, hulled and sliced (reserve 4 whole strawberries for decoration)
- 1 sachet Strawberry Angel Delight
- 300ml cold milk
- chocolate sprinkles for decoration, optional
- 4 medium wine glasses
How to make it
- Divide the crushed shortbread fingers equally between 4 wine glasses.
- Place sliced strawberries on top of the biscuits upright around the glass.
- Make up the Strawberry Angel Delight with the cold milk as directed on the pack instructions and then carefully pour into the glasses and chill in the fridge for at least 10 minutes.
- Before serving decorate with a whole strawberry and chocolate sprinkles.
Hints and tips
- Raspberry Angel Delight with fresh raspberries also works very well in the recipe.
- For a decadent dessert top the sundaes with strawberries that have been dipped in melted chocolate.
