I made this

For a tasty fish pie, add Homepride White Wine sauce to leftover fish and peas. Cover with mash potatoes and cheese and bake in oven until the topping is golden.

Serves 4

What you need:

  • 350g cooked and skinned fish, cod, haddock or salmon
  • 1 jar Homepride White Wine and Cream Cook-in-Sauce
  • 150g frozen peas
  • 400g left over mashed potato or shop bought
  • grated cheese

via Asda, Sainsbury's,
Tesco and Ocado

How to make it:

  1. Preheat the oven to 190ºC/375ºF/Gas 5.
  2. Place the fish in an ovenproof dish and pour over the Homepride White Wine and Cream Cook-in-Sauce.
  3. Add the peas and stir gently.
  4. Top the fish mixture with the mashed potato and sprinkle over the grated cheese.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes until the sauce is bubbling and the potato topping is browned.

Hints and tips:

  • For an extra special fish pie add some cooked king prawns.
  • If you would prefer a “cheesier” taste why not try using our Homepride Creamy Cheese Vegetable bake.

  • I'm going to try this with Marions suggestion of broccoli to. I'm using the new meal planner thing this week so will just add some extra broccoli in before I shop for it online.

  • Best fish pie ever tasted. Purchased ready cooked prawns and pre-cooked salmon. Earlier in the day I baked haddock fillets in foil in the oven with some butter (instructions on pack!). Mixed all together with the sauce, frozen peas and some frozen chopped parsley (picked from my garden during the summer). Added cooked spinach as a side veg. Mmmm! Definitely doing this one again.
