For a tasty snack or light lunch idea mix together some Homepride Barbecue sauce, chopped onion and grated cheese then spread on some bread and grill until the rarebit is bubbling.

Serves 4

What you need

  • ½ can Homepride Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • Handful grated cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices bread

How to make it

  1. Mix the Homepride Barbecue sauce with chopped onions and grated cheese
  2. Lightly toast the bread on one side and then spread the mixture across each untoasted side then return to a moderate grill until the topping is bubbling.
  3. Serve at once.

Hints and tips

  • For an extra smoky BBQ flavour add some finely chopped cooked smoked bacon.
