Gently sauté some diced apple and Haywards Red Cabbage then add a tablespoon of marmalade and serve hot for a festive vegetable accompaniment to roast turkey.

Serves 6

What you need

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 dessert apple, peeled, cored and diced
  • Haywards Red Cabbage
  • 1 tbsp marmalade
  • non stick frying pan

How to make it

  1. Heat the oil in a pan and add the apple and Haywards Red Cabbage and sauté for 5 minutes until the apple is softened.
  2. Add the marmalade and continue to cook over a moderate heat stirring well until the marmalade has melted.
  3. Serve hot.

Hints and tips

  • Sprinkle some pine nuts on top for a bit of extra crunch.
  • Serve as a side vegetabe with your Christmas roast or with roast chicken.
