Spread Haywards Piccalilli onto a puff pastry disc, add cooked diced potatoes, sliced onion and grated cheese. Fold over and pinch the edges to seal in the filling. Bake for 25 minutes until golden.
Serves 10
What you need
- 1 sheet ready rolled puff pastry
- Haywards Piccalilli
- 2 large potatoes, cooked and diced
- 1 onion, sliced
- cheddar cheese, grated
- baking tray, lightly greased
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 200°C/ 400°F/ Gas 6
- Cut out 10 puff pastry discs.
- Spread Haywards Piccalilli over pastry.
- Divide the potatoes, onion and cheese evenly between the pastry discs placing the ingredients on one half of the pastry, leaving.
- Dampen the edges of the pasrty with water then fold the pasty over to create a pasty shape and pinch together to seal in the filling.
- Place the pasties onto a baking tray and bake in the oven for about 25 minutes until pastry is golden brown.
Hints and tips
- A variety of fillings can be used such as left over turkey or chicken.
- Salmon and tuna also work very well in this recipe.
