Piccalilli and Cheese Filo Parcels

For a fabulous canapé idea place a spoonful of Haywards Piccalilli and grated cheese on a buttered filo pastry square then shape into a parcel and bake until crisp and golden.
Serves 8
What you need
- 8 small squares filo pastry
- melted butter
- 8 tbsp Haywards Piccalilli
- 100g cheddar cheese, grated
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas 6.
- Brush the edges of the filo pastry sheet with melted butter.
- Place a spoonful of Haywards Piccalilli in the centre of the filo pastry and sprinkle some grated cheese on top.
- Gather up the sides of the pastry, squeezing together so they form a ‘money purse’ shape then place on a baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
- Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Hints and tips
- Try using feta or goat’s cheese instead of cheddar for a really tasty change.
- Replace the cheese with diced potatoes and onions for a samosas style parcel.
