Glaze sliced parsnips with Sharwood’s Plum Sauce add a heaped spoonful of sesame seeds and roast in oven for 25 minutes. Delicious served with Sunday roast or your Christmas dinner.

Serves 4

What you need

  • 500g Parsnips, peeled and sliced lengthways
  • 4 tbsp Sharwood’s Plum Sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • roasting dish

How to make it

  1. Preheat the oven to 190ºC/375ºF/gas mark 5.
  2. Place the parsnips in a roasting dish and then cover with the Sharwood’s plum sauce and mix well ensuring that the parsnips are well coated in the sauce.
  3. Sprinkle a spoonful of sesame seeds over the parsnips (optional).
  4. Place in the oven and roast for 25 minutes or until the parsnips are crisp and golden.

Hints and tips

  • Try using other root vegetables in this recipe such as carrots and turnip.
