Sausage Balti

I made this

For a spicy take on a great British classic just sauté some onion and peppers then add sausages and pour over a jar of Sharwood’s Balti Cooking Sauce.

Serves 4

What you need:

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 Pepper, chopped
  • 8 sausages
  • 1 jar Sharwood’s Balti Cooking Sauce
  • ovenproof pan

via Asda, Sainsbury's,
Tesco and Ocado

How to make it:

  1. Preheat the oven to 190ºC/375ºF/gas 5.
  2. Heat the oil in an ovenproof pan and add the onion and peppers and sauté gently for 5 minutes until soft.
  3. Add the sausages and continue to cook on a moderate heat for a few minutes until the sausages have browned on all sides.
  4. Pour the Sharwood’s Balti Cooking Sauce over the sausages and mix well.
  5. Transfer to the oven and cook for 35 minutes or until the sausages are cooked through.

Hints and tips:

  • Any variety of sausages can be used in this recipe.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
