Bacon and Pea Pasta

Just add some cooked pasta and peas to a pan with cream cheese and bacon lardons then season with an Oxo Vegetable Cube for a tasty and quick meal idea.
Serves 4
What you need
- 200g ribbon pasta
- Vegetable Oxo Cube
- 100g frozen peas
- packet diced bacon lardons
- 150g cream cheese with garlic
- ground black pepper
- dried Italian herbs
- large frying pan
- non-stick frying pan
How to make it
- Cook the pasta as directed on the pack adding half a crumbled Oxo Vegetable Cube to the boiling water.
- Add the peas for the last 2 minutes of cooking time and then drain and set aside.
- Meanwhile heat a frying pan and then fry the bacon for about 3 minutes over a moderate heat then add the cream cheese with garlic and season to taste with pepper, herbs and the rest of the crumble Oxo Vegetable cube.
- Add the cooked pasta and peas and stir until well combined and cream cheese has melted and hot.
- Serve immediately with crusty bread
Hints and tips
- For variety adding extra garlic, onions, mushrooms, peppers, sweetcorn or anything you fancy to alter the recipe.
