Pasta Bake

A quick and simple recipe, just add some Homepride Bolognese Sauce to minced beef and onion then layer with pasta and cheese. My children love it, especially the cheese and it is so quick and easy to make.
Serves 4
What you need:
- 350g pasta, cooked as directed on the pack instructions
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 350g lean minced beef
- 1 jar Homepride Bolognese Sauce
- 8 cheese slices
- large frying pan
- ovenproof dish
via Asda, Sainsbury's,
Tesco and Ocado
How to make it:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas 6
- Heat the oil in a pan and gently fry the onion for about 3 minutes until soft then add the mince and fry for about 10 minutes until browned.
- Next add the Homepride Bolognese Sauce and simmer gently for 15-20 minutes.
- Mix the cooked pasta with the mince then pour half into an ovenproof dish and place 4 cheese slices on top.
- Pour the rest of the mixture on top and cover with the remaining cheese slices.
- Cook in a preheated oven for about 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
Hints and tips:
- Try adding mushrooms and peppers to give the dish a little more crunch.
