Custardy Pancakes

I made this

Add a spoonful of Bird’s Custard Powder to pancake mix to give pancakes a delicious creamy custardy flavour.

Serves 4

What you need:

  • Instant pancake batter to make 4 pancakes
  • 1 tablespoon of Bird’s Custard Powder

via Asda, Sainsbury's,
Tesco and Ocado

How to make it:

  1. Place the pancake batter into a bowl and add the Bird’s Custard Powder, mix well.
  2. Make up the pancake batter as directed on the pack and cook off.

Hints and tips:

  • Fill the pancakes with mixed berries, fold and serve Bird’s Custard.
  • Try filling the pancakes with sliced banana and Bird’s Custard, this is delicious hot or cold.

  • Alternative idea; 1. Spread pancakes with generous coating of Raspberry or Strawberry Jam. 2. Slice Bananas lengthways and add slices to one half of coated pancake. 3; Fold pancake to cover bananas and warm both sides in frying pan to heat both jam and bananas. 4. Cover with custard if required and enjoy!!
