Use up Hotcross buns by spreading them with marmalade then cover them in Ambrosia Custard and bake for 20-30 minutes.
Serves 4
What you need
- 4 hotcross buns
- 2 tbsp orange marmalade
- Ambrosia Custard
- Ovenproof glass dish, lightly greased
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 170ºC/325ºF/Gas 3.
- Cut four hotcross buns in half and spread each one with orange marmalade.
- Place hotcross buns into an ovenproof baking dish, marmalade side up and cover with Ambrosia Custard.
- Place in the oven for 20-30 minutes until piping hot and serve immediately.
Hints and tips
- If the hotcross buns have hardened spread butter on them prior to adding the marmalade and they will soften whilst baking!
- Thick cut marmalade is even tastier or try using your favourite jam for a change.
