Try this simple but elegant supper dish by adding canned tuna to a can of Homepride White Wine and Cream Sauce then place onto a sheet of puff pastry, wrap it all up and cook in a hot oven until golden.

Serves 4

What you need

  • 1 can Homepride White Wine and Cream Sauce
  • 1 400g can of tuna, drained
  • black pepper
  • 1 sheet shop-bought puff pastry
  • milk
  • baking tray

How to make it

  1. Preheat the oven to 200ºC/400°F/ Gas 6.
  2. Empty the Homepride White Wine and Cream Sauce into a saucepan and then add the tuna fish and season with black pepper.
  3. Place the pastry sheet onto a lightly greased baking tray then pour the tuna mixture on to the pastry.
  4. Using a pastry brush dampen the edges of the pastry with milk and fold the corners to make a envelop shape and pat down to seal the edges.
  5. Brush the top with milk and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden and well risen.

Hints and tips

  • Tuna fish puff is great served with sliced fried potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
  • If you don’t like tuna you can try this recipe with chicken.
