Yummy Celery

Lots of people don’t like celery but this is a way of making it much more yummy. I serve it with roast or grilled chicken or turkey.
Serves 4
What you need
- a head of celery
- butter
- 1 Chicken Oxo Cube
- ovenproof dish
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 160°C/325°F/Gas 3
- Take a head of celery, clean it and chop each stalk into 2 or 3 pieces.
- Place the celery in a pan of hot water and simmer for a couple of minutes then drain.
- Place the celery into an ovenproof dish and cover with knobs of butter and sprinkle over a Chicken Oxo Cube.
- Cover and cook for 30 minutes then uncover and cook for another 20 minutes.
Hints and tips
- The longer it’s cooked uncovered the more caramelised the celery can get.
- Serve the buttery juices as a gravy.
