Gravy for Meatballs

Make Bisto Favourite Gravy as per pack instructions, then stir in a tin of chopped tomatoes and a teaspoon of chilli powder. Pour gravy over meatballs and place in the oven until the meatballs are cooked and the sauce is piping hot.
Serves 4
What you need
- 1 tablesppoon vegetable oil
- 500g pack of ready made meat balls
- 280ml Bisto Favourite Gravy
- 1 can chopped tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon of chilli powder
- non-stick frying pan
- deep ovenproof dish
How to make it
- Heat a the oil in a non-stick frying pan, over a medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches and brown well. Drain off any excess oil and transfer to a deep ovenproof dish.
- Make 280ml Bisto Favourite Gravy as directed on the pack instructions, add a tin of chopped tomatoes and chilli powder to the gravy and stir well.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the meatballs and place into a pre heated oven 190º C/ Gas mark 5 for 25-30 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce is piping hot.
Hints and tips
- For variety add some dried mixed herbs instead of chilli powder.
- A dash of red wine can be added to enrich the sauce.
