For a quick sausage casserole with a twist place some grilled sausages into an ovenproof dish then top with baked beans and potatoes and bake in the oven. Serve with Bisto Gravy.

Serves 4

What you need

  • 12 pork or beef sausages, grilled
  • can of baked beans
  • 450g mashed potatoes
  • Bisto Gravy Granules, made up as directed
  • ovenproof dish

How to make it

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F/Gas 5.
  2. Place the grilled sausages in an ovenproof dish then pour over a can of baked beans.
  3. Top with mashed potatoes and bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until heated through.
  4. Serve with hot Bisto Gravy.

Hints and tips

  • You can also do this dish with corned beef and onions instead of sausages but kids like the beans one best!
  • Sprinkle over some grated cheese for a tasty change.

  • It is really easy to make, had all the ingredients already and it was really nice :D I didnt serve with gravy because I cant imagine beans and gravy being nice together lol but it was really nice :D

  • my kids are sooo fussy, they wont eat bangers and mash but im going to give the sausage twist a go and hopefully they'll enjoy will let you know
