Mushroom, Bacon and Red Wine Gravy

Pan fry some bacon and sliced mushrooms, when the mushrooms are soft and the bacon is cooked add a touch of red wine and continue to fry for a few minutes. Make the Bisto Best Beef Gravy as per the pack instructions and add to the pan of fried mushroom, bacon and wine.
Serves 4
What you need
- 1 Tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 3 Rashers of streaky bacon, chopped finley
- 5 Medium size white mushrooms, washed and sliced
- half a glass (60ml) of red wine
- 280ml of Bisto Best Beef Gravy
- non-stick frying pan
How to make it
- Heat the oil in a the pan, add the bacon and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add to the mushrooms to the pan and cook over a medium heat for 3-4 minutes, stiring constantly.
- Add half a glass (60ml) of red wine and cook for a 2 minutes.
- Make up 280ml of Bisto Best Beef Gravy as pack instructions, add to the pan, heat through and serve.
Hints and tips
- Serve as an accompaniment to steak or any red meat.
- Try adding some cooked beef chunks and place in an ovenproof dish topped with creamy mashed potato for a delicious dinner idea.
