For a quick and tasty way to use up leftover chicken just place some cooked chicken and peas into a casserole dish then mix in a can of Batchelors Chicken Soup and heat through in the oven.

Serves 4

What you need

  • leftover cooked chicken
  • 1 medium can of garden peas, drained
  • 2 cans of Batchelors Chicken Soup
  • mashed potatoes
  • casserole dish

How to make it

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4
  2. Cut the cooked chicken into bite sized pieces and place into a casserole dish with a can of peas.
  3. Pour over 2 cans Batchelors Chicken Soup then place in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until heated through.
  4. Serve with mashed potatoes.

Hints and tips

  • Try replacing the peas with sweetcorn
  • Use one tin of mushroom soup and one tin of chicken soup for a tasty alternative.

Comments

  • Use chilli paste and cover left over chicken with it add a drop of olive oil over chicken put in oven with sauce.Instead of chicken soup use tomato if liked have a thicker sauce and instead of mash use roast potato's either packet or do it yourself add some garlic paste with the oil and brush over the spuds before cooking.
