For sausages with an oriental twist just gently fry some sliced sausages then add peas, crumbled Oxo Beef Cubes, dark soy sauce and water then simmer gently until the sauce thickens. Delicious served with boiled rice.

Serves 4

What you need

  • 12 sausages, each cut into 6 pieces
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 medium can peas, drained
  • 2 Oxo Beef Cubes, crumbled
  • 2 tbs dark soy sauce
  • 500ml hot water
  • boiled rice to serve
  • 1 non-stick frying pan

How to make it

  1. Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan and cook sausages for about 5 minutes until browned.
  2. Drain off any excess oil and stir in the peas.
  3. Add the Oxo Beef Cubes, soy sauce and hot water then bring to the boil.
  4. Turn heat down and simmer for about 30 minutes stirring occasionally until the sauce reduces by half.
  5. Serve with boiled rice.

Hints and tips

  • This works best with pork sausages.
