There is something really satisfying about home made Scotch eggs and they are so easy to make. Take some hard boiled eggs, wrap in sausage meat, roll in Paxo Golden Breadcrumbs and bake in the oven until golden.

Serves 4

What you need

  • 4 eggs, hard boiled
  • plain flour
  • sausage meat
  • milk
  • Paxo Golden Breadcrumbs
  • baking tray

How to make it

  1. Preheat the oven 190°C,375°F/Gas 5.
  2. Allow the eggs to cool then remove the shells.
  3. Coat the eggs in flour and roll out 4 pieces of sausage meat large enough to completely cover the eggs.
  4. Coat the sausage meat in milk then roll the Scotch eggs in Paxo Golden Bread Crumbs until covered.
  5. Place on a baking tray and bake in the oven until crisp and golden.

Hints and tips

  • Try serving with some crisp salad and crusty bread.
