Blend cooked chickpeas from a can with Branston Lemon & Garlic Mayo to create a tasty, but easy hummus. Serve with pitta bread or crudites.

Serves 4

What you need

  • 200g can of chick peas, rinsed and drained
  • 3 tablespoons of Branston Lemon & Garlic Mayo
  • 1 – 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 50g tahini (Sesame seed paste), optional
  • electric blender

How to make it

  1. Place the chick peas into a blender with 3 Tablespoons of Branston Lemon & Garlic Mayo.
  2. Blend well, adding olive oil if required to achieve the right consistency.
  3. Add 50g of tahini if using.

Hints and tips

  • Serve this delicious dip as a starter or snack with warm pitta bread and vegeatble sticks.
  • This is a fantastic little recipe to brighten up a packed lunch serve in a pot with some vegetable sticks such as carrots, celery and peppers

  • I sometimes find i need to add extra oil/lemon juice when making hummus as it can be a little dry - great idea to add the mayo instead as it will give better texture AND flavour, will try this recipe next time :)
