Shepherds Pie with Bisto

Add some Bisto Gravy Granules to your shepherd’s pie base and top with mashed potato for a tasty family meal idea.
Serves 4
What you need
- 8 large potatoes, peeled and quartered
- butter
- 500g lamb mince
- a few dashes Worcstershire sauce
- squirt tomato ketchup
- 1 clove garlic
- 3-4 tbsp Bisto gravy granules
- frozen peas
- boiling water
- salt and pepper
- casserole dish
How to make it
- Boil the potatoes until tender, drain and mash with butter.
- Meanwhile fry the mince in a pan until brown and drain off any excess fat. Add Worcestershire sauce, Ketchup, clove of garlic(can be removed when cooked).
- Sprinkle the Bisto Gravy Granules over the mince and add some boiling water to make a thick gravy.
- Add a handful of peas, stir then place all the mixture in a large casserole dish.
- Top with mashed potato and place in a preheated oven at 190°C/375°F/Gas 5 for about 30 to 40 minutes until browned on top and hot in the middle.
Hints and tips
- For a crusty topping idea you mix breadcrumbs with grated cheese and sprinkle over the potato
- Serve it with seasonal vegetables.
