A creamy chicken dish that is so quick and easy to make.
Serves 4
What you need
- 2 tbsp of oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green pepper, sliced
- 1 red pepper, sliced
- 200g mushrooms, sliced
- 25g plain flour
- 100ml milk
- 400ml Oxo Chicken Stock, made with 1 cube
- cooked chicken
- dash paprika
- 50 ml single cream
- dash lemon juice
- large frying pan
How to make it
- Heat the oil in a pan then fry onions, peppers and mushrooms for 5 minutes until soft.
- Stir in the flour and cook for a minute.
- Add the milk and gently bring to boil stirring constantly.
- Pour in the Oxo Chicken Stock, cooked chicken and paprika and gently heat through until the chicken is piping hot.
- Remove the pan from heat then stir in cream and a dash lemon juice, ready to serve with rice.
Hints and tips
- Also great served with mashed potato and green beans.
