Quick and easy Saturday meal for the family, kids love it.

Serves 4

What you need

  • 300g dry macaroni
  • 500g lean minced beef
  • 1 can Batchelors Condensed Tomato or Tomato and Basil Soup
  • 4 tomatoes, sliced
  • cheese grated, enough to sprinkle over the top
  • 2 saucepans
  • ovenproof dish

How to make it

  1. Cook the macaroni as instructed on packet then drain.
  2. Meanwhile brown the mince in a pan until cooked through, drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir the pasta and Batchelors Condensed Tomato into the cooked mince.
  4. Place half of the pasta mixture into a large ovenproof dish then add a layer of sliced tomatoes then top with the remaining pasta mixture.
  5. Add the rest of the tomatoes then top then with grated cheese and cook in a preheated oven at 190°C/375°F/Gas 5 for about 30 minutes or until golden on top.
  6. Serve and enjoy!

Hints and tips

  • For a meaty flavour use a tin of Batchelors Condensed Oxtail soup.
  • Also good cold as a pasta salad type dish in a picnic or lunchbox.
